The Pakistan Foundation

Mrs Taslim Bashir - Principal

History and Founders

The school was founded by Vice Admiral HMS Choudri (late) with the support of his brothers and other pioneers of Pakistan. The Pakistan Foundation established a Technical School in 1959 in which basic skills in machining, welding, grinding etc. were imparted to enable the students to get jobs in the local industry.

The equipment of this technical school was donated by a foreign company. Over a period of 50 years the population
of the city of Lahore expanded but the Government spending on education remained low. Public schools were
unable to meet the demands and their quality of education was also low.

During the 1980s' it was realised by the Pakistan Foundation that there was a great need for Primary Education,
especially for girls, due to the growing populace in the vicinity.

General primary education was introduced alongside the Technical training.

The founders of The Pakistan Foundation Included:

  1. Vice Admiral HMS Choudri (late) - The first Commander in Chief of Pakistan Navy.
  2. Mr. C.M Latif (late) - The Founder Managing Director of BECO Industries (now PECO).
